Meet Cisco

Well after 3 1/2 years of owning the most awesome, characteristic, handsone, English Bulldog, we decided to go ahead an add another fluffy boy to the family. Size it up a little. Instead of an English, we decided to go with a frenchie. Not much difference, but they are a little more hyper, their ears stick up and they are smaller.

Panzo was getting lonely, and though he loves being spoiled by his parents and being the only child, we couldn't bare to see him grow up alone. He's always had roomies to chase around and play and hike with. So when Grizz and Penny left, I started my search for our unborn baby dog, named Cisco. I came across a few websites and contacted them. A couple replied back, and I went with the one that was willing to lower their prices a little for a loving family❤❤, with no intention of breeding. Prices can get pretty expensive when you have the intention of breeding your puppy.

So we made the agreement not too (because i certainly had no intention of breeding dogs), I sent her the deposit and we waited eagerly for our new lil guy to arrive, anxiously counting down the days. Our first little guy we picked out unfortunately didn't make it. We had to start the process all over and wait another 6 weeks! NO!! NO!!

Another 6 weeks passed and we were at the airport to pick our baby up! It seemed like the happiest day of my life. He was the most cutest little baby boy I had ever seen, besides panzy. My heart melted and I didn't want to do anything but spend every waking moment with him. We were a little worried about how Panzo was going to react, but he didn't seem to mind Cisco.  Cisco loved panzo. He adored him and wanted to be where ever panzo was. Whenever panz was taking a rest, you could find baby Cisco cuddled right up in panzos arms/rolls. You could tell panz was starting to fall for Cisco and care for him like a little brother. They are 2 peas and a pod now.

THE LIVING ROOM

This memorial weekend was real CHILL. Gabe and I decided to hike to "the living room," a popular hike  among the salt lake city folk. Its located in the foothills above red butte garden. It was about a 45 minute hike up hill. Once you get to the final destination, there is a homemade living room, made up of furniture like chairs and couches. These aren't your average couches and chairs, they are made of rocks. Its a unique little spot.

All Finished

Our road trip was amazing. I love being on the road and having no reservations or places to be. I was excited to get home though and sleep in my bed :)

Lake Tahoe was amazing. I am glad we decided not to move there though. Truckee, the little town, is a bit smaller then park city and not as artsy or cultured. I did enjoy some of the little towns though that were closer to the lake. The lake is absolutely gorgeous too. In some spots, you can see all the way to the bottom. Theres a lot of kayak, paddle boards and boat rental shops surrounding the lake. Theres also tons of campgrounds, little cottage hotel/motels and some bars. We didn't spend a lot of time there, we didn't even camp. We just got out at a dog friendly beach and let panzo do a little swimming. He's such a little swimmer dog, its quite comical because its not in his breed. But he just cant get enough of the water.

All in all, the trip was amazing and unforgettable. If I had to spend some time in California, which I wouldn't be opposed to at all, I would live in Ocean Beach or Santa Cruz. Ocean Beach because its such a cute little beach town. The pier is beautiful and its so dog friendly. Everything is in walking distance, its not too big, its not too small. They have a farmers market that we got to go to, EVERY wednesday. The people there look neat and around our age. I wanna go. Santa Cruz was a little bit more touristy, but I could see myself fitting in there too. I loved the pier, and the downtown area is really cute too. They had a little trolley that we road that reminded me of park city that took you from the beach boardwalk area to the downtown area in 5 minutes. We'll see what happens. Ya know, I also fell in love with Vail when we went for the Burton US open. Its way cuter then Park City, and I love the set up of it. The only problem is, its kinda spend, from what I heard. $$$$$ Everyone said that Park City would be expensive too, but we've managed this far. I guess it helps to know people. ;)

Anyways, we're back home and settled in. Our cable/internet has been shut off since Lindsay and Matt left and it was in Matts name. Time to start reading more and renting movies from the library. Thats where I am right now. Im getting two books today, one recommended by Ashley Devaan called Wild, by Cheryl Strayed and The Traveler, recommended by Andrea Currie. YAY!!!!

I wanted to share a few more pics from my trip. Especially the ones from Big Sur, the most beautiful place ever. I can't get over the beauty. I kept asking myself, Is this real life??? Seriously, the beautiful water colors and then all the amazing flowers that were surrounding the beach. Unbelievable!

Lake Tahoe Bound

Cutting out of San Francisco a little early. We went over the Golden Gate Bridge, check, and had dinner in a little Bay Area so we experienced a little bit. Wish we would of made it to fishermens wharf, but we ve seen a lot and we re ready to start venturing home. Once you jump on 80, it's a 10 hour shot.

We are stopping in Tahoe and may camp for the night there. We did have plans once to move here, so now we can actually check it out.

I would like to do another road trip sometime starting in San Francisco and head north, finishing the states coast. It's sooo Big! Better yet, just move here for a year. I would live in ocean beach or Santa Cruz, those were my two favorite spots.

Still trucking

We found a secret camp spot last night that a friend had told me about in big sur. we had to do a little off roading, jeep style cruising up this dirt road. Panzo and I were a little scared at times. It was in Los padres national Forrest. The site was gorgeous and we managed to get a phenomenal sunset that we saw right over a bed of clouds. Probably the most unique sunset I've witnessed.

Before we camped, we went to pismo beach and they had the coolest surf shop ever there called Panchos and the best clam chowder soup ever from Splash Cafe! We got a blanket and chilled on the beach for awhile and then went to another beach called Avila beach and walked the pier. Before we left to go camp- we hit up the farmers market and got shrimp, onions, garlic and jalapeƱos for our fajitas we were gonna make! Yummy! They turned out delicious.

I slept like absolute shit! I wasn't too sure about the bear scene- which I found out today- there's hardly any in big sur because the ranchers poisoned all of them back in the day. But... I woke up to a woodtick and some horrible mosquito bites that reminded me of Minnesota and didn't make me miss it at all! Except for friends and family! The woodtick was chillin on my neck making his lil way to my sculp. All day today, I ve been overly itchy and cautious of those lil suckers!

Highway 1 is awesome up here. The water is so blue. Every lil bay is a picture to be taken! Pictures aren't even doing justice though for the beauty of this place.

We had breakfast in the cutest little cafe back in the Forrest. So many flowers everywhere! Ca-ute!!!!

Refugio state beach

We left San Diego :( and got on the road last night at like 6. Drove through Hollywood, L.A., long beach & Compton- Not places of interest for me to get out of the car. At first, the idea sounded great until gabe talked me out of it. I said, "well Gabe, sublimes from long beach!" Then he replied, "yea, they grew up in the ghetto. Snoop dog and Dr. dre are from there too." After hearing all the horror stories of traffic, crime, and Everything else...i didn't care to. Some day tho. I did manage to snap some cool photos of the city sky lines though. The lights made the cities look cool from a far, especially with a neat sunset and palm trees.

We drove up to Sana Barbara and found a camp site called Refugio state beach. I read that it was a big locals spot, so we turned in. We set up camp and could hear the waves slamming against the beach. We decided to walk down there before we crawled in our bags. They had a board of tid bit information about the park and one big aspect was there was whale watching! Yes!!! But wait.... Then I read that we missed it by a month. Darn it!

The next morning- today- we packed up and decided to take a little hike. There were some cool beach cliffs I wanted to check out, and the weather is really nice today, so we trotted on up. Within 5 seconds of getting to the top, we saw whales! It was amazing! We chased them all the way down till the path couldn't reach anymore! It was really cool to see them in the wild. And we weren't even expecting it.

Now we are heading to San Luis Obispo, there is a couple cool beaches there and a farmers market everyday!! I'm excited to see what it all about. After we are out to find a camp site in las padres national Forrest, big sur.
